Generational, slow-moving Neptune and Pluto, these days traversing off and on in septile aspect (51 degr 26 mins) with one another, have karmic implications for mankind which I discuss here:

http://starsoverwashington.blogspot.com/2006/08/karma-neptune-pluto-septile.html

Inspired by the works of Dane Rudyar, Michael Meyer, and the Harmonic work of John Addey, the post includes the dates of the Great Conjunction of Neptune and Pluto which began the cycle of their current dance…a slow, passionate tango, I think, but perhaps occasionally breaking into a jitterbug.

Or perhaps we’re the jitterbugs!

Neptune-Pluto’s third conjunction of April 30, 1882 is the horoscope I use (inspired by the work of Alan Meece) as the ‘Generation of Materialism’ chart – or you could call it the natal chart of the Robber Barons when the real plundering began.

Ah, the 1890s…choo chooo! Hear that train whistle blow and the telegraph tap. And of course there’s Neptune’s representation of oil and gas, and Pluto’s underworld, underground, tunnel and cave linkage…where the goodies are hidden.

An out-of-personal-control septile aspect has a fated or karmic flavor and is an aspect of the 7th Harmonic. It represents in its deepest essence the very cosmos itself, and links the transcendent with the personal (which is also a function of experiential Chiron who says: Be Here NOW! Then there’s karmic Saturn and Uranus, The Witness, but that’s for another post.)

With Neptune now in Aquarius and Pluto having returned to Sagittarius – but soon to re-enter Capricorn – the aspect between these two lumbering giants is waning, a condition of a septile aspect which is given by Michael Meyer as:

“The use of intuition and understanding as a means of envisioning and achieving the fulfillment of one’s destiny.” (‘The Astrology of Relationship,’ Michael R. Meyer.)

Sounds good to me! Where can I get me some o’that intution and understanding? Perhaps Astrology will see a resurgence of popularity…or is already in large part due to the internet. Plus, the Sabian Symbol oracle of word pictures for each of the 360 degrees helps in this evolutionary endeavor.

(You’ll find the Geminian Sabian Symbol for the 1892 Great Conjunction in the above-linked post and synchronistically enough, it’s where gold-loving Midas is transiting NOW in sometimes duplicitous Gemini. This reminds me of “two sets of books” accounting but today’s wheeler dealers seem to have several sets, don’t they?)

Actually if you’re the sort of person who isn’t tied to the “this is all there is” model of science – materialism as world view – the use and study of Astrology is the greatest tool I know for peeking under the hood of the cosmos and for delving into one’s psyche in holographic fashion.

H7 (how I refer to the 7th Harmonic though some use ’7H’) includes aspects: 102 degr 52 mins, and 154 degr 17 mins, so if you have any of these aspects in your natal chart you may find a sense of karmic fatedness connected to the planets involved in the areas of the Houses where the planets appear. The influence then boomerangs to other Houses and planets which resonate to the septiled planets like ripples on the pond of life.

So do I, your reluctant astrologer, have a septile natally? Yes, between Mercury and Chiron, and there has been karma in relation to children (Mercury) and in some other areas of life (Houses) that I haven’t fully sussed out yet, communication and siblings being the more obvious ones to consider. But my story isn’t quite done being written, dawg.

What was the catch phrase of a few years ago?  Ah yes – ‘God isn’t finished with me yet.’

But I’m finished – with this post!
