TODAY’S MESSAGE

As followers of Jesus, God has deposited inside of you and me an enormous amount of power –to be used for His Kingdom. All this power (spiritual strength, unique abilities, and God-given creativity) needs to be used, not stored. As Jesus commanded us in Mark 16, we need to go out and share Jesus Christ with others. And we need to be able to obey God and lead others into salvation, healing and restoration.

But the truth is that, on our own strength, it is **very** difficult to do this. When faced with social pressures and persecution, it is humanly hard to stand up and speak up, and defend our convictions and principles. That is why God sent us The Comforter, The Holy Spirit, so that, as we are filled with His presence and anointing, we are able to step out and proclaim the Good News regardless of the cost.

If you surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord but have not received an infilling of God’s Holy Spirit, which helps you activate the power within you, it is time to ask for it. And once you ask and receive this special anointing, you will find the strength to do everything God is asking you to do.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for sending us Your Holy Spirit as our Comforter and power-activator. Help me to surrender my life to Your will, and activate Your power within me to be strong and courageous, and stand up for what is right. In the precious name of Jesus, amen.
