Pippin has amazingly cute little cat paws. Her paws are covered with soft, cotton-like white fur and gray spots. The pads of her feet are super light pink and they’re soft too. She’s sweet, possesses an amazing personality and is way smarter than any cat should ever be. And I love to play with her paws. When she’s sleeping, I’ll pet the bottoms of her back feet or I’ll rub the pads of her front feet. They just don’t feel real. Usually, she picks up her head and gives me stink eye and tucks her feet in. If I go too far she pretends she’s going to bite me. And I giggle because she is THAT CUTE and so not the ferocious jungle cat.

And then this morning karma bit me in ass. As I was soundly sleeping on my stomach, I vaguely remember a cat walking across my shoulders, getting comfortable and stretching out to play with my right ear. I ignored it. Then she brought out the claws. Just. Ever. So. Slightly. And played with the back of my earring. It tickled and I shot straight out of bed. Confused and discombobulated, I wandered into the bathroom. And I could see her smug little face by the light of the electric toothbrush, with an expression that said, “That’s right bitch, how cute are my little paws now?”
